The Communications Committee discusses best practices and innovations in promoting unclaimed property and helps identify articles and news to which NAUPA should respond.

When: Every Second Friday – 1 PM ET, 12 PM CT, 11 AM MT, 10 AM PT

The Legal Committee works to keep members abreast of the latest developments affecting unclaimed property legislation and litigation.

Chair: Danielle Anthony, Auditor III, Nevada State Treasurer’s Office

Vice Chair: Barbie Proffitt, Holder Services & Audit Manager, Washington Department of Revenue

When: Every Third Thursday – 2 PM ET, 1 PM CT, 12 PM MT, 11 AM PT

The State Auditors working group allows state auditors to discuss issues and best practices in the unclaimed audit and compliance space. Corporate affiliate members are allowed to join periodically at special meetings.

Chair: John Gabriel, Director of Unclaimed Property, Tennessee Department of Treasury

Vice Chair: Allen Martin, Assistant Deputy Treasurer, North Carolina Department of State Treasurer

When: Every Other Wed. – 2 PM ET, 1 PM CT, 12 PM MT, 11 AM PT

The Uniformity and Standardization Committee is currently focused on the creation of the NAUPA III Standard File Format.

Chair: Jeff Chetkauskas, Asst. Director of Internal Operations, Maine Office of the State Treasurer

Vice Chair: Jennifer Brown, Assistant Director, Compliance Services, New York Office of the State Comptroller

When: Every Third Tuesday – 3 PM ET, 2 PM CT, 1 PM MT, 12 PM PT

The Education Committee discusses educational opportunities for the association, including webinars, conference programming, and more.

When: Last Tuesday – 1 PM ET, 12 PM CT, 11 AM MT, 10 PM PT

The Claims working group allows claims staff to discuss issues and best practices with their peers.
