Congratulations!
![]() You have successfully arrived at the official website to help you search for unclaimed property. The majority of the states have a website, with nearly half giving you the capability of searching online. To help you get the most success out of your search, it may be helpful to take a few minutes to answer the following questions before you begin. ![]() How do I search to see if I have unclaimed property on-line? Every state is identified, providing you with its agency location, address and phone number. If they have a website, a link to that state is provided. ![]() States Sponsored National Database NAUPA is proud to sponsor an on-line searchable database which contains unclaimed property records from participating states. This information is provided as a FREE service to the public and is managed for NAUPA by the ACS Unclaimed Property Clearinghouse. The web address is www.missingmoney.org. ![]() Where do I begin? Holders are required to report unclaimed property to the state of the owner's "last known address". You will want to search in the state(s) where you or family members have lived. (Example: If you have never lived in California, it is unlikely that property would be reported to that state.) ![]() What if the state doesn't have a website or isn't capable of searching online? Write to the state and ask them to provide a search for you. In order to complete an accurate search, it is important to provide as much information as possible. With your request, include your full name(s), last known address, social security number and information on how to reach you. |
